The Film Project Pitch section aims to facilitate interactions among filmmakers, artists and technicians in China and Canada. It is also one of the major highlights of the festival. Canadian and Chinese film production companies will have the opportunity to explore a new generation in the film market as well as hear innovative ideas. In this section, CCIFF will collect popular pitches from the public. The top 20 pitches will have a chance to be reviewed by Canadian and Chinese companies. A potential contract to work with a company may be signed at the Closing Ceremony.
