Canada China Art-Tech (CCAT), the main organizer of CCIFF, is a government registered non-profit organization and acts as a link between Canada and China in the field of entertainment technology, connecting academic leading researchers, institutions, and the world’s cutting-edge technology companies, in order to build an international platform to promote the development of digital interactive media technology. Also, the CCIFF is dedicated to enriching film and television arts and entertainment technology resources, and promoting the understanding, friendship and cooperation of Chinese and Canadian filmmakers. Thus, this film festival is playing an important role in furthering cross-cultural exchanges between Canada and China.
Following the first press conference of the second edition of CCIFF held in Macau, various sections of this edition keep on preparation. In order to better promote Sino-Canadian cooperation and development, coincident with the Canada’s 150th Anniversary of Confederation and the 375th anniversary of Montreal, the second has already launched new sections on TV dramas and the anniversary celebration. In the following press conferences, the festival will release specific information and the latest news about the new sections.
